How this site is built
Volume and area are geometry, and geometry is exact. Everything else — how much a cubic yard of stone weighs, how much concrete a bag makes, how much a compacted base settles — varies with the material and the day. Those figures are listed on each page with the source they come from and whether anyone has actually checked them.
These are quantity estimates for planning and ordering, not engineering advice and not a code-compliance check. Confirm anything structural against your drawings, and confirm quantities with your supplier before you buy.
7 calculators on this site are still marked draft: the assumptions behind them have not been verified against their sources yet, so they are excluded from search engines until they are.
