How the cubic feet calculator works
Cubic feet are useful for smaller volumes, packaging and product coverage quoted per cubic foot. The arithmetic is still length times width times depth after unit conversion.
A cubic-foot result describes space, not weight. Converting it to pounds or tons requires the bulk density of the actual material.

Can I multiply feet by inches?
Not directly. Convert all dimensions to compatible units first; the calculator does this automatically.
Is cubic footage the same as square footage?
No. Square footage is area; cubic footage includes a third dimension, depth or height.
