How the concrete bag calculator works
Bag count is volume divided by yield per bag, rounded up to a whole bag. The required volume should come from the concrete calculator or the project drawings.
Bag weight is not yield. Two mixes with the same bag weight can publish different mixed volumes, so the product label is the number that belongs in the yield field.

Measure and order concrete bag
Calculate every hole or shape before adding the volumes. Use the yield from the current bag, not a remembered figure from another brand.
Round up only after dividing the total volume by yield. Rounding each shape separately can overstate a multi-part order.
Concrete Bag Calculator questions
Is an 80 lb bag always 0.6 cubic foot?
No. Treat that only as a starting figure and use the yield printed by the manufacturer.
Does water added change the yield?
Mixing outside the product instructions can change performance and usable volume; follow the label.
When should I order ready-mix?
Compare the total bag count, labour, batch consistency, access and supplier minimums rather than using a universal cutoff.

yield- Yield per bag: ft³.
Worked example: 0.6 cubic yard using 0.6 ft³ bags
A small pour requires 0.6 cubic yard and the selected bag states a yield of 0.6 cubic foot.
